Upholstery Class

In this 10 week class you will learn skills used in basic upholstery projects. Instructor will demonstrate proper use of basic upholstery tools and techniques used in basic upholstery work. The first 4 weeks will be a lecture based demonstration of how to prepare, breakdown, correctly measure fabric and reupholster an actual chair. This will give students the chance to see the whole process at once before they individually reupholster their own furniture.

During the following 6 weeks students will start and complete their own project. Each student is responsible to bring their piece of furniture to be reupholstered. Only ottomans, kitchen chairs, dining room chairs or piano benches may be reupholstered in this basic class. Specific pieces will be accepted at the teachers discretion. (Rule of thumb…If you can’t lift it yourself it is too big for this class.)

Just bring a note pad and pencil to the first class and please wait until week 5 to bring your furniture! (Unless otherwise specified by instructor)


Class start date is Tuesday, December 13th & Thursday, December 15th from 6pm – 8pm

Cost: 10 weeks $260.00

All tools needed will be provided.


Please email back with the day you prefer to take the course. Please also arrive early on the first day of class to fill out a registration form and to pay for the class. Payment may be split into 2 installments.


Once you email us with your day and time we will send you a confirmation email in return.

Due to large demand for this class we will be accepting only 10 students per class.


To guarantee your place in this class we must receive a $50 deposit by December 12th which will be applied to the cost of the class.


We feel with a small class students have a greater opportunity to learn.
