Delta Dental of New York is currently seeking an experienced Sales Account Executive Senior.

POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent in this position is responsible for managing and maintaining new and existing relationships with key brokers and or consultants; the incumbent sells the breadth of the product line to assigned accounts, and also assumes the lead role in multi-state and or prestigious new business opportunities and is viewed as a marketplace expert by internal and external customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Manages and maintains new and existing relationships with key brokers and consultants to cultivate and develop new business.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Develops and implements territory sales plans by region to utilize available Delta marketing resources.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Gathers and provides competitive intelligence to assist in competitive positioning of Delta Dental in the marketplace.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Leads special project teams as assigned by sales management including multi-state and or prestigious new business opportunities.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Oversees generation of RFPs and resolution of RFP-related issues, submits thorough and professional RFPs to underwriting, and participates in rate review meetings demonstrating a solid knowledge of the prospect.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Coordinates the exchange of information and communicate the importance of accountability to internal and external business partners.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Ensures timely and accurate recordings of sales activities and clients interactions in the CRM on a regular and consistent basis and accurate completion of the group application and initial group open enrollment functions.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Represents Delta as a presenter covering key information clearly, persuasively and professionally in both written and verbal communications.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING REQUIRED
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ A Bachelor?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s degree or equivalent successful work experience.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ A minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefit programs and Delta Dental sales efforts preferred.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Viewed as a market place expert by internal and external customers, brokers and consultants.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Established relationships with brokers and consultants required in metro NYC.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ An insurance license may be required in some states.

o Contracts Department Staff, and Eligibility and Group Implementation staff.

o Current and potential client groups (HR and Benefits managers) and Union trust managers.
o Brokers and consultants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS?¢‚Ǩ‚ÄùPHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS; MACHINES AND OR EQUIPMENT USED
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Regularly required to work standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, fax machine, etc.).
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Ability to work on a computer up to 7 hours a day.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Regularly required to use hands to operate computer and other office equipment.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Close vision required for computer usage.
?¢‚Ǩ¬¢ Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 25 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS
