Registered Dietitian Desperately Needed ASAP!

I have more than a few medical problems. I have to take 11 different prescribed, daily medications currently. These necessary medications are making my liver toxic and swollen. My Doctor put my on a very strict 1200 Calorie Diabetic Diet. I am having problems planning menus so that I do not blow my diet and prevent weight loss. I have scoured the internet in search of menus but all of the sites that I found charge a fee for meal plans. I thought about Jenny Craig or Nutrisystem since they both have a program for diabetics and there is no measuring but their prices are astronomical and way over my budget. Not to mention the fact that I would have to stay on their program in order to keep off the weight and remain healthy.

So I have been going it alone and it has not been easy. I am only allowed 4oz. of Meat and Meat Substitutes a day! The Diabetic 1200 Calorie Diet considers eggs and cheese as Meat and Meat substitutes as well. I have so many medical problems that there is not much that I am allowed to eat. Just to give you a few examples of the hurdles in menu planning for me: I have Diabetes so I have to watch my sugar and carbohydrate intake. I have High Blood Pressure so I have to watch my sodium intake. I have GERD so I have to be very careful of how much spices and acidic (Spaghetti Sauce or tomato products) foods that I consume. I have IBS so I cannot consume alcoholic beverages, soda, chocolate, carbonated beverages, caffeine, deep fried foods, foods high in fat, vegetable oil, Hydrogenated oils , processed meats, processed cheeses, or red meat. I am also lactose intolerant and have high cholesterol so that also dictates what I can and cannot eat and makes the menu planning even more complicated. I have been checking out and reading books from the library on dieting and healthy eating but I still have questions and get confused. Planning a menu that sticks to the Diabetic 1200 calorie diet in addition to the requirements dictated by my other medical problems is a total nightmare for me. I called my insurance company for help but there is not a Registered Dietitian in Orlando, Kissimmee, Poinciana, or anywhere close to me that takes my health insurance. I tried hiring one on my own but they want $50 a session and I am disabled, cannot work, and on a very modest Social Security income so my funds are very limited. My Daughter?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s Biological Father (my 1st Husband) does not pay child support and I have to make sure that she has the necessities. I do have a husband that works but he does not make a lot of money either. Gas and grocery prices keep rising and we are struggling just to get by. My Husband spoke with his boss about my current medical situation and asked for a raise but he did not get it because the boss said that he had to downsize the company and cut corners as it is in order to keep the business going during these trying economic times. My Husband has been looking for a part-time job but the job market is bleak at this time. So we find ourselves robbing Peter to pay Paul these days just to keep groceries on the table especially since I have to watch what I eat and purchase healthy foods. Sometimes I have to choose between buying groceries and my prescriptions. I also need to get healthy so that I do not become more of a burden on my family than I already am. My Doctor told me that if I exercise daily, follow the diet, and lose the weight that he can gradually reduce my daily medications and maybe even eventually discontinue them before my liver becomes damaged. I am so afraid that if I do not lose the weight quick enough that I will end up having a liver transplant. My luck my body would reject the liver. I am afraid of failing and dying just like my uncle did from liver failure. So I am looking for a Registered Dietitian with a big heart or a college student that is currently enrolled in the Registered Dietitian program that would be willing to assist me free of charge or at least work something out with me so that I can get the help that I so desperately need right now. Anyone who reads this but cannot help me please pray for me and my family. My family needs me and I want more than anything to regain my health. I hope and pray that someone will help me before it is too late and I end up needing a liver transplant. Please send me an email if you are willing and able to help me in my desperate time of need.
