1977 Custom Harley Davidson Sportster XLT, 1000 cc. Total restoration from frame up. Complete rebuild on transmission and complete rebuild on engine, balanced to within 4 grams, upgraded Andrews "Y" grind cams . Upgraded Performance Machine front disc brake calipers and master cylinder. Only 1500 miles put on since rebuild. Has bullet style turn signals, electronic ignition, forward controls, chrome oil tank, wheels, chainguard, too much chrome to list! Has 2 seats, a drag style and a touring style. Will include a 1978 swingarm used to convert to rear disc brakes. Over $11,000 invested! INFO FROM AMERICAN IRON MAGAZINE. AUGUST ISSUE 2005 : "our feature bike this month is a 1977 Harley-Davidson Sportster XLT. The T stood for Tourer, and Harley did, in fact, manufacture a Sportster Tourer in 1977. This is a very rare bike - only 1,099 units were built. It is so rare, in fact, that even the archives have very little on this model."
