The Adler Planetarium, Chicago, IL, is seeking a part-time, temporary intern for the Group Sales Division. This position will begin in August, 2010 and will end in December, 2010. This unpaid position will report to the Director of Sales and Private Events.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Complete a market competitive analysis;
- Generate and manage target market lists which will be used for email and direct mail marketing campaigns;
- Assist in computer entry using Microsoft Office and Patron Edge software programs;
- Attend meetings and participate in daily group sales activities.

Education and Experience:

- Must be a hospitality or tourism major college student;
- Excellent writing, research and telephone skills;
- Experience using MS Office, the Internet, and email;
- Knowledge of Patron Edge software is preferred.
