Alex Marley, lead singer and guitarist, along with his band, has been a live concert phenomenon, performing in Jamaica for the past seven years. Alex grew up listening to various forms of different music: amongst people like his cousin Bob Marley and sons, as well as other greats like Garnet Silk, Burning Spear, Jacob Miller, Peter Tosh, Jimmy Hendrix, Carlos Santana and Dennis Brown. Alex was called to music at a very young age, as he started writing songs from the age of eleven.

In his music, Alex speaks of love and peace, and his many interests are shared through his lyrics and performances. He has developed a distinctively mellow sound that is predominantly based on reggae with an eclectic and acoustic blend of all genres of music.

Music aside, there is a lot more to Alex Marley than meets the eye. Through his youth volunteer work he hopes to share his message of peace and humility by teaching music at various schools. Hearing the youth play songs they had learned through his lessons makes him feel as if he is making a difference in the world.

Alex Marleys new song Lovely Woman is on radio stations worldwide, as well as most popular online radio stations. The music video for this song is aired on hype TV in Jamaica and will soon be aired on Nat Geo music station in Italy.

Johnny Dread transcends Reggae music with a blend of world beat rhythms indicative of his undeniable rebel soul. He is a self-taught drummer, who has captivated audiences stretching from the United States across Europe and South America. A fan-favorite, his live powerful and soul-wrenching performances have been in front of pleased audiences as great as 25,000 people.

Dreads sound is drawn from Caribbean, afro-Cuban and rock roots persuasions. He creates contagious rhythms with influences as diverse as his Rasta, Cuban-American background. He is recognized as a seasoned and prolific singer songwriter performer. He founded his first group Copacetic, with Bob Marleys step-brother Anthony Booker, Ras Bagga and other well-known Reggae musicians.Their first album, Ghetto Rock, hit the #7 rank on the billboard Reggae charts in 1990.

Adam teacha Barnes fell upon the reggae scene when some of his friends came back from Jamaica with some reggae LPs and he instantly fell in love with the culture.

Adam began creating and emulating artists in the eighties. He bought a PA sound system and started DJing mad reggae parties and doing cameos at clubs with local bands. From there, he also started producing and writing his own songs. He has worked in studios in New York City with students from Brooklyn and Harlem, helping them write songs and create styles. He has performed with Rhythm Nation and has MCd on Drum & Bass rhythms along the way. He is currently in the studio recording his 2011 debut album with multiple styles.

Join your friends and head on over to the OEC for a relaxed evening of music with some of reggae musics established and rising stars.
